I spent the afternoon of cruising out to the West Baray, a man made lake from the 11th century. It’s 8km x 2.1km with an island temple in the center. It’s a great place to go hang out for the afternoon. There are little huts with hammocks along the edge. On weekends, Khmers flock here to splash around and swim.
Standing on the dam at the West Baray.
On the waters edge. Notice the huts tucked along the edge of the water.

Sunset on the way home.
This is what I came home to. Just over an inch long and thankfully slow moving, I crushed and flushed it promptly after the photos were taken. I’m going to have to sleep with one eye open.
