This was a first for me. When I got the call to shoot engagement photo, it was exciting. Most people get engagement photos done well after the actual proposal. With a flurry of emails back and forth including very detailed satellite photos with arrows and notes, we made it work. As a photographer I am privileged to witness special moments and this was one of them. Of course Vermont being Vermont, the weather couldn’t quite make up it’s mind. It was blustery, sunny, snowy, cloudy, and very cold all at the same time. I’m sure the fiancee-to-be was wondering what in the world they were doing walking around a closed Shelburne Farms as the winter winds rolled across Lake Champlain. Personally, I prefer to be outside when the weather is crazy. Not only can it make for some truly epic photos, but it really makes me feel alive. Of course the proposal went off without a hitch and we got some fun photos in before the sun slipped behind the Adirondacks.
