One of the tastiest projects I’ve worked on in a long time is complete and printed. Introducing Seasons in a Vermont Vineyard, The Shelburne Vineyard Cookbook. Lisa Cassell-Arms created and curated some delicious dishes that pair with the Shelburne Vineyard wines, and then we set about capturing them in photos. I love working with and shooting food. I feel there is a real creative freedom when photographing food. Lisa let me experiment with lighting, depth of field, and just about every other photo technique I could muster to get the shots. I think we did a great job of getting some mouth-watering photos and conveying the seasons and tastes. The best part of photographing food of course is that it has to be tasted afterwards, obviously paired with the appropriate wine.
Here are a few photos of the book. You can buy it at Shelburne Vineyard, or order it online here.
